Labradorite
I first happened across Labradorite in 2009, in a wonderful crystal shop we used to have in the Old Town of Hastings.  I was fascinated by it, and purchased my first piece with delight.  In every piece of Labradorite I have ever held, there have always been worlds within worlds or extraordinary images within........  Two of the most extraordinary are this yellow labradorite, complete with the image of a witch in it, and one that I purchased for a dear friend back in 2010, which had the image of a Griffin in it!   I also used to own a piece, which on one side had an Edwardian Lady looking towards two children on a swing! Extraordinary!

I was delighted in early November 2023 to finally be "told" by my spiritual guides, "The We", that it was time to make an elixir from three of the stones I own - the large heart-shaped one, which I had not realised before has a sleeping face within its form - see below (this was bought for me at the Mind-Body-Spirit Fayre in Victoria, London, on 11.11.11 by a dear friend), and two other new ones I purchased recently, especially to make the elixir.  Upon taking the first few drops, I felt immediately a feeling of "fizziness and euphoria and an increase in energy"!   So I made myself a bottle of the elixir and have been having drops in my water every morning ever since. 

So where is Labradorite from and what is it made of?  Here's some information I found on Crystal Vaults, a website, which sells the physical stone:-

"Lore of the Inuit people claims Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis, an ordinary stone that transforms to the extraordinary, shimmering in a mystical light that separates the waking world from unseen realms. It is, in every sense, a Stone of Magic, a crystal of shamans, diviners, healers, and all who travel and embrace the universe seeking knowledge and guidance. For self-discovery, it is excellent for awakening one’s own awareness of inner spirit, intuition, and psychic abilities.
Labradorite is also the most powerful protector of the mineral kingdom, creating a shielding force throughout the aura and strengthening natural energies from within. Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family and is treasured for its remarkable play of colour, known as labradorescence. The stone, usually gray-green, dark gray, black, or grayish-white, is composed of aggregate layers that refract light as iridescent flashes of peacock blue, gold, pale green, or coppery red. The predominant blue varies within the light, displaying hues from deepest blue to various shades of pale, almost blue-green.
This crystal was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in 1770 who named it for the area. It is, however, referenced in legends by older Inuit tribes, and was known to be in use by the Red Paint People of Maine for over a thousand years. It became a popular gem in Europe in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Rarer varieties of Labradorite include Golden Labradorite, a transparent gold or champagne colour, and Spectrolite, an intense variety displaying the entire colour spectrum, discovered in Finland in the 1940s."

I actually own a rare yellow Labradorite, which is featured in the picture above.  As you can see, it is a truly unique specimen!

Here's some more detailed information I discovered about its healing properties:-​

• Labradorite is a highly mystical and extremely protective stone.
• It is a bringer of light and raises consciousness, raising our vibrations higher, so that we can connect with the universal energies of the cosmos.
