Alkalising Shots

Picture
These are some quick-to-make, palatable, alkalising shots. They are great if you are very acidic; have overindulged or you have an upset tummy or cold / flu bug, because they re-alkalise the body and bring it back into balance very quickly. Due to the bicarbonate of soda, you should expect to have wind – this is normal! It is re-alkalising your body, that’s all! Never have more than two in a day as they are exceptionally powerful eliminators if taken in excess!

Preparation Time:- 5 minutes each Quantity- One shot = c. 30-50ml
Equipment for each shot
1 Medium Glass - ½ Teaspoon Measure - Kettle - Teaspoon Measure - 15ml Metric Spoon Measure -  Mini Measuring Cup  - Citrus Juicer (lemon only)
Lemon Alkalising Shot Ingredients
                                                                                  Molasses Alkalising Shot Ingredients
Juice of 1 Lemon                                                                                                                            30 ml Blackstrap Molasses
20 ml Boiling Water                                                                                                                       30 ml Boiling Water
½ teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda                                                                                            ½ teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar Shot Ingredients
30 ml Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
20 ml Boiling Water
½ teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda
Method

  1. Boil the kettle and put the bicarbonate of soda in the bottom of your glass:-

  2. Lemon Shot; add the lemon juice - the bicarbonate will make it fizz, so carefully add the boiling water a little at a time and stir gently. Then drink it straight down. It will taste a little like a mild lemonade with a slight bicarbonate flavour

  3. Molasses Shot; add the Blackstrap Molasses to the bicarbonate of soda and pour in the boiling water. The bicarbonate will make a big froth on top of the mixture. Carefully stir it and let it settle before drinking. It will taste sweet and treacle-like
  4. Raw Apple Cider Vinegar Shot; add the vinegar to the bicarbonate of soda and then add in the boiling water. Stir and then drink down in one. The bicarbonate of soda neutralises the sharpness of the cider apple vinegar and it becomes quite pleasant
